Chris Ndukuba
“My life was a bit of a mess,”  says 21-year old Chris Ndukuba.  “The Foyer gave me a base to build on.”  That’s how Bradford Foyer helped to turn his life around.  And now he’s certainly using that base to aim high.

A year ago, Chris’s life was going from bad to worse.  “I was fed-up with what was going on.  I’d packed in my Btec course in performing arts, stopped playing football and was messing around, doing stupid stuff,” says Chris.  To make matters worse he'd nowhere to live.

Which is when he came to Bradford Foyer,  “It’s helped steady the ship,”  says Chris.  “I started playing football again, South Bradford FC.  That’s where I was spotted by Greg Andre, the coach at Bradford Park Avenue.  I played for them in the FA Cup”.

Nor was it just on the football field where Chris's new self-belief was helping turn his life around. "I entered and won the 'Telegraph & Argus model competition'. I'm now on the books of an agency and have had my portfolio done".

In fact, thanks to the 'solid base' at 'The Foyer' Chris's options for the future means he's facing some tough, but not too unpleasant, decisions. "As well as potential work as a model I've been offered terms by a full-time non-league team. There's also the possibility of going to the States to do a two-year football scholarship which could then lead to a university course over their!"
